Kate

Hi everyone,

Kate_Dancing_Ibiza_B&W

I’m the Geordie girl in the equation. Having lost my way with music when I first moved to London, I managed to rediscover my passion and the momentum has continued to build since then.

My foundations are in house music (deep house and nu disco) and I grew up going to Shindig at Foundation, Newcastle, on a weekly basis. My tastes have certainly diversified since then and there is not much I am not willing to listen to and explore – however you’re likely to find me closer to a mosh pit than a dance floor now based on my current genres of choice (indie, alt, rock)!

You will rarely find me standing still if the remotest of beats can be heard (in fact, a friend once told me that I would dance to anything, including someone tapping their finger on the table…too true!!) I’m also a big photo fiend and you’ll usually find the hand not holding my cider surgically attached to my camera…

Wendy

G’day blue,

Wendy_werelostinmusic_CroatiaI’m the Aussie chick (as you can tell from my fair dinkum Ocker greeting…which I’ve never used in my life…except in jest). My musical taste runs the gamut from metal to grunge (hello Temple of the Dog and Soundgarden), indie to rock. With a lot of trance, house and techno in the mix. I’m open to almost anything if it has a beat and a hook, and find the euphoria of a gig utterly addictive.

I left new bands at the Espy and worldwide tours that somehow skipped Australian shores, to experience world class acts at Brixton Academy, Hammersmith Apollo, the Forum, the Empire, and so the list goes on. The beauty of the UK is in the musical delights it constantly delivers. Not to mention the European festivals on its doorstep.  Which explains my 20+ year “residency” in London.

You will usually find me holding Kate’s drink whilst she goes snap happy.

🙂
