We’re Lost In Music’s 2015 in Review
Hi everyone!
It’s that time again, as the curtain falls on 2015, we take a look back over the incredible musical experiences we have been lucky enough to be a part of…
Our favourite moments:
Each gig, festival, club night, or other variation on musical indulgence is special in its own way but there are always some that stand out more than others…
Numbers party, Nitsa Club, Barcelona – 18th June- Boardmasters Festival – Newquay, Cornwall – 5th-9th August
- Ray-Ban x Boiler Room 009 with Jackmaster, Armand Van Helden, Eats Everything, Julio Bashmore and Shanti Celeste – Studio Spaces, London – 23rd July
- Annie Mac Presents, Dalt Villa, Ibiza – 14th June
- Berghain, Berlin – 22nd November
And our worst: Lovebox Festival – a real disappointment this year.
Our favourite DJs:
No let downs this year!
Our favourite live acts:
FKA Twigs did not live up to expectations for us when we saw her at Roundhouse in February.
Our favourite newly discovered acts:
Sunset Sons (first seen at Boardmasters)- Fatherson (first seen supporting Prides at KOKO London in November)
- Bite The Buffalo (first seen at Boardmasters)
We can’t wait for the Sunset Sons album!
Our favourite venues:
One Mayfair, London- Dalt Villa, Ibiza
- Alexandra Palace, London
And our least favourite: Wembley Arena, London
Our favourite albums:
Everything Everything – Get To Heaven (released 22nd June)- Oh Wonder – Oh Wonder (released 4th September)
- Benjamin Clementine – At Least For Now (released 12th January)
Our year in numbers:
- Number of gigs – 66
(March was our busiest month with a count of 9) - Festivals – 8
- Trips to Ibiza – 1
(Where we managed to hit up 4 parties in 24 hours…) - Act we saw the most – Jackmaster (a whopping 6 times!)
- Number of venues – 60
- Number of geographical locations – 7
- Number of countries visited – 5
- Number of flights taken – 11
- Number of trains taken – 4
- Number of beats danced to – too many to count…
So, farewell 2015, it has been an absolute pleasure. Next year is already shaping up to be pretty exciting (check out our Upcoming Events calendar here), so stay tuned for our 2016 instalments!
